About the role
The Role
As a Product Engineer at Counterpart, you own problems and drive outcomes. You iron out requirements with stakeholders, partners, and customers. You leverage AI for implementation. You verify the end-to-end result. You iterate until you move the needle.
You run projects with other Product Engineers and AI agents. You know when to delegate to a human, when to delegate to an agent, and when to do it yourself.

Requirements
- 3+ years building production web applications across the full stack
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership
- Proficiency in developing with AI tools
- Demonstrated experience gathering requirements directly
- Demonstrated experience owning both functional and non-functional requirements
- A track record of owning a domain or initiative without close supervision
- Extreme ownership and a bias for action
- Domain curiosity
- The ability to communicate clearly across engineering, product, and business
- Low ego and high Emotional Quotient (EQ)
- Experience working with distributed, remote teams
Qualifications
- Experience working with distributed, remote teams
Skills
- Full stack development skills (Python, Django, AWS, React, PostgreSQL)
- Experience with AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, OpenAI Codex, similar)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
Our estimated pay range for this role is $110,000+. Base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, market data, location, internal equitability, and experience.
