Product Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science, proficiency in React, and 3+ years of software development experience. They will be responsible for building and evolving our Codesmith, a background coding agent, and contributing to the architecture of the agent platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement workflows, UI, and infrastructure for Codesmith, our background coding agent
• Create tools for debugging flaky CI jobs, including surfacing patterns in test failures and correlating logs with infrastructure signals
• Work closely with design to ship polished, high-performance product surfaces across our analytics and observability platform
• Prototype and iterate rapidly on AI-powered features, such as natural language interfaces and automated fix generation
• Own the full stack from prompt design to backend service to UI
• Contribute to the architecture of the agent platform, including running sandboxed workspaces and orchestrating agent sessions

Requirements

• Strong CS fundamentals
• Proficiency in React and modern frontend development
• Experience working closely with design to build polished, high-performance UIs
• Comfortable with ambiguity and working in a very early-stage startup environment
• 3+ years of software development experience
• Enjoy working in person 5 days a week in NYC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and infrastructure management
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices
