Job Title: Product Engineer Industry: Automotive Manufacturing / Remanufacturing Location (city, state): Oklahoma City, OK Assignment Type: Direct Hire Pay: $77,000–$115,000 annually, depending on experience Work Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:30 PM | Onsite Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Our client is an established automotive manufacturing and remanufacturing organization producing components for OEM and aftermarket customers. The company focuses on product quality, continuous improvement, efficient manufacturing processes, and the development of reliable products. Continued growth and new product initiatives have created the need to expand the engineering team. We are seeking a hands-on Product Engineer to support the development, analysis, and continuous improvement of new and existing products. This position combines product engineering, manufacturing support, testing, root-cause analysis, and process improvement. The Product Engineer will spend significant time on the production floor troubleshooting product and process issues, analyzing manufacturing data, and developing solutions. This individual will also maintain product specifications, bills of materials, work instructions, production documentation, and engineering drawings while partnering closely with Production and Quality. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain technical specifications and product data for new and existing products.Create and update bills of materials (BOMs), component specifications, and other engineering documentation.Develop and revise production work orders and detailed manufacturing instructions.Analyze production processes and data to identify quality concerns, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.Investigate product failures and manufacturing issues to determine root causes and corrective actions.Perform hands-on testing of products and components using appropriate test equipment.Recommend product, design, or process changes based on engineering analysis and test results.Create and modify CAD/SolidWorks drawings and models.Partner with Quality to ensure products and manufacturing processes meet customer and internal requirements.Troubleshoot production-floor issues involving equipment, processes, products, and work instructions.Conduct process audits and help ensure production personnel understand and follow established procedures.Collect and analyze data to support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.Participate in engineering projects supporting new products, existing products, and manufacturing improvements. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.5+ years of relevant engineering or manufacturing experience preferred.Experience working within a manufacturing, remanufacturing, or industrial production environment.Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.Experience analyzing manufacturing or product issues and implementing corrective solutions.Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and manufacturing documentation.Experience developing or maintaining BOMs, work instructions, production documentation, or similar engineering records.CAD/SolidWorks experience preferred.PLC or industrial automation experience is highly desirable.Strong computer skills and experience working with production or database applications.Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.Lean or Six Sigma experience is a plus.Familiarity with ISO 9001, OSHA, or similar manufacturing quality and safety standards is beneficial.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across Engineering, Production, and Quality teams.
