Responsibilities
- Completion of technical tasks.
- Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
- Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, including laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
- Prepares reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis.
- Scope equipment for use and complete qualifications.
- Works with their team to organize lab activities and functions, including calibration.
- Notifies their supervisor upon recognition of factors that may affect project results or progress vs. goals.
- Develops prototype processes and test set-ups.
Qualifications
- A combination of equivalent education and experience, or a minimum of training beyond high school or secondary school in a technical discipline, with more than 6 years relevant experience, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Or a minimum of an Associate Degree with less than 2 years relevant experience.
- Capable of applying basic scientific principles and concepts, as well as developing solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
- Uses standard and approved research and development methods.
- Requires application of basic/standard scientific principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
- Capable of developing solutions to assigned problems of simple to moderate scope & complexity, through the exercise of judgment within defined practices and policies, for determining appropriate actions.
