Product Development Technician

Our client, a global leader in adhesives, sealants, and material technologies, is seeking a Product Development Technician to join their Research & Development team.

About the role

As a Product Development Technician, you will support Product Development Scientists, Engineers, and Technical teams. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, a strong safety mindset, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare batches of adhesive and sealant formulations using a variety of laboratory mixing equipment.
• Perform product testing using ASTM and internal methodologies while following established protocols.
• Operate laboratory equipment and power tools to prepare specimens and fabricate materials for testing and customer demonstrations.
• Record, organize, and communicate testing data and results using digital product development platforms.
• Support laboratory safety, 5S initiatives, equipment maintenance, and cross-functional training activities.

Requirements

• Experience in a laboratory, product development, manufacturing, or technical environment.
• Ability to follow testing procedures, ASTM methods, and safety protocols.
• Comfortable using power tools such as drills, saws, routers, and related equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document and communicate results.
• Proficiency with computer systems and digital tools for data entry, reporting, and task management.
