Product Development Research Investigator
Job Description
Research & Development Group provides research into specific applications such as improved quality of existing products, more cost-effective manufacturing processes, a new product line or new area of business. Delivers the technology and process capability needed to operate, maintain and improve manufacturing operations. Collaborates with the business and manufacturing teams to define process technology direction and programs to the business.
Performs theoretical and experimental scientific and technological investigation directed toward the acquisition of new knowledge. Prepares comprehensive documented observations, analyses and interpretations of results, including technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses. Identifies, assesses and develops new scientific concepts/technologies in basic or applied research with significant business impact. Documents research leading to patent disclosure or technical and/or scientific advancement.
- Experienced technical professional with in-depth knowledge of both formulation and processing, responsible for completing complex experiments requiring interpretation and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with formulation, filled polymer systems, and processing equipment.
- Understands the products and competencies across a business segment.
- Leads and/or contributes to multiple projects to develop solutions, drive business adoption of technology and meet customer needs.
- Suggests/creates innovations, applying tested ideas or methods from other areas.
- Solves complex problems independently; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
Qualifications

Benefits
Depending on experience, pay range is $40-60/hr.
