About the role
VARITE is seeking a Product Researcher for one of its clients located in Mason, OH. The client is a multinational consumer goods company that manufactures a variety of products in categories such as healthcare, personal care, household cleaning, and baby and feminine care.
Responsibilities
- Execute critical experimental work, including assembling prototypes, running lab tests, and meticulously documenting results to drive product improvements and solve technical challenges.
- Contribute to the collection and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data from various sources, including consumer tests and technical evaluations, to inform product development decisions.
- Support the product development team by refining and prioritizing technical tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient innovation pipeline.
- Become proficient in client’s internal systems (e.g. JMP, EPASS, Nexus/ELN, etc) to manage data, track progress, and contribute to project success.
- Work collaboratively within a passionate team, contributing your expertise to elevate the performance and consumer appeal of client APDO products.
Requirements
- A strong foundation in scientific principles and a passion for hands-on experimentation.
- Experience in a lab or research setting, with a focus on execution and procedural work.
- Ability to meticulously follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate records.
- Basic understanding of consumer testing methodologies and technical product evaluation.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in utilizing data management and reporting systems.
- Must have the ability to execute procedures against established protocols or standard operating procedures (SOP's).
- Attention to detail and problem solving.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Data analysis and technical problem solving.
- Microsoft Office (including at least Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Qualifications
- Basic experience with client systems (e.g. JMP, EPASS, ELN/Nexus, Enovia, etc).
- Experience with consumer testing protocols e.g. quantitative or qualitative research.
