Product Development Manager
Job Summary
Travelzoo is seeking a Product Development Manager in our New York office.
About the role
Manage all phases of the design process, from initial wireframes and mockups to final hand-off, ensuring deliverables align with business objectives and drive high member engagement.
Oversee the end-to-end execution of complex content projects by managing briefs, resource allocation, dependencies, risks, and timelines to deliver cohesive, high-quality outcomes.
Apply UI and UX expertise to create user-centered, high-quality solutions across desktop, mobile, and email marketing channels.
Bridge business and technical teams to gather requirements, translate them into design objectives, and deliver solutions aligned with strategic goals.
Lead and execute product strategies and roadmaps in collaboration with cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Establish and maintain a scalable design system that enhances Travelzoo’s digital presence, while respecting brand standards and local market nuances.
Stay informed by producing regular status reports, keeping internal stakeholders informed on project milestones, deliverables, and emerging risks to ensure alignment and clarity.
Manage resources, timelines, and budgets to optimize quality and efficiency.
Cultivate an innovative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and design thinking across teams.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in digital project management or product development, ideally within a creative agency, advertising, marketing communications, or a related environment.
- Expertise in designing and delivering digital direct-to-consumer products, with a strong portfolio of impactful, design-driven work that emphasizes user engagement and seamless, member-focused experiences.
- Proven track record of managing the full project lifecycle, from scoping and scheduling to resource allocation and delivery, with a focus on meeting or exceeding timelines and budgets.
- Proficiency in using design and prototyping tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Protopie, with a solid foundation in user-centered design methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, capable of forging and nurturing effective partnerships with internal teams and key decision-makers across the organization.
- Adaptability in working with global or cross-functional teams, demonstrating effective collaboration across different time zones.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a member-focused approach, able to identify new opportunities and drive strategic innovation within a fast-paced environment.
- A degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
