About the role

This position is responsible for planning and managing projects of various sizes and complexity, being accountable for end-to-end delivery of a project including managing cost, budget, schedule, dependencies, resources, scope, quality, and risk. You will ensure the work of the project aligns with stated business objectives, providing a blend of technical and business acumen to drive the design, development, and implementation of strategic IT and HR projects.

Key responsibilities include setting and managing customer expectations, developing and maintaining relationships with project stakeholders, and driving deliverables in a matrix project environment. You will also facilitate project staffing and prioritization in concert with HR strategy, assigning resources to prioritized projects, and training project managers on skills, tools, and best practices to build project management capabilities within the team.

A comprehensive understanding of systems development lifecycles and methodologies, as well as a basic understanding of IT architecture, infrastructure, and networking, is required. This role will help develop the framework for and lead project management activities across the Strategy Enablement team, establishing governance frameworks, standardizing processes, and aligning project portfolios with strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage projects of various sizes and complexity, ensuring end-to-end delivery.
  • Manage project cost, budget, schedule, dependencies, resources, scope, quality, and risk.
  • Align project work with stated business objectives, blending technical and HR/business acumen.
  • Set and manage customer expectations while developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
  • Drive deliverables and activities, escalating risks and issues as needed in a matrix environment.
  • Facilitate project staffing and prioritization in alignment with HR strategy.
  • Assign Strategy Enablement resources (e.g., project managers, generalists, functional SMEs) to projects.
  • Train project managers on skills, tools, and best practices to build team capabilities.
  • Develop governance frameworks, standardize processes, and align project portfolios with strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Health Administration and 7 years of experience in healthcare, health insurance, or strategic consulting OR 11 years of experience in healthcare, health insurance, or strategic consulting.
  • Management experience, including hiring and training staff.
  • Experience with enterprise-wide project coordination, project management, facilitation, presentation, and leadership.
  • Knowledge of field sales operations and business strategies in the insurance industry.
  • Creativity, innovation, analysis, and implementation skills.
  • Inspirational/values-based leadership and talent management experience.
  • Customer service experience and acumen.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for directing management, building relationships, and resolving issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or Marketing.
  • Knowledge of external adjudication processes and association interfaces with enterprise-wide systems.
  • Knowledge of National Account delivery and processing systems.
  • Knowledge of corporate marketing practices, product lines, and Plan operations.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $92,700.00 – $167,500.00 annually, with exact compensation varying based on skills, experience, and location. This role also aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the plan.
