Responsibilities
- Implement standardized practices and templates (Phase-Gate, NPI, PRDs) by tailoring them to subsidiary engineering sprints.
- Serve as a hands-on advisor to Product Managers at subsidiaries, helping them navigate technical blockers and resource constraints.
- Proactively identify opportunities for shared wins, such as integrating components across subsidiaries to reduce redundant R&D costs.
- Manage mid-level project milestones that feed into the Red Cat Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), ensuring data accuracy and timeline integrity.
- Lead preparation for critical "Phase-Gate" reviews, ensuring subsidiary teams have necessary documentation and validation for executive approval.
- Mentor and delegate tasks to the Associate Product Manager (Global Support) to ensure timely completion of reporting and research.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, product, or project management field (e.g., Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, or Operations). 8-10 years of directly related work experience may substitute for a degree.
- 4–6 years of experience in product management or technical program management, with a focus on hardware-software integration.
- Proven ability to implement complex development lifecycles (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to build rapport and drive results with engineering teams across different business units.
- Comfort discussing product requirements, specifications, development planning, UAV/USV components, GCS software, sensor payloads, and vehicle dynamics.
- Advanced experience with Jira, Confluence, and portfolio management software (e.g., Smartsheet or MS Project).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Unmanned Systems (UAV/USV) or Robotics industry.
- Background in Defense (DoD) or Public Safety technology sectors.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management standards.
Physical Requirements

- Capability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by safety protocols.
- May require climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, or crouching during inspections or maintenance.
- Regular exposure to facility operations, including noise, dust, temperature fluctuations, and industrial equipment.
- Occasional off-hours or weekend work for emergency responses or projects.
- Frequent use of computers and standard office equipment for documentation and communication.
