About the Role

Verisk’s ISO Commercial Auto Product Development division is seeking a highly motivated team member to conceptually and technically develop new and revised insurance programs in response to emerging issues and the changing commercial auto marketplace. This role provides strategic thought leadership on Commercial Auto and Commercial Umbrella lines of business, leveraging expertise in coverages, markets, industries, legal and regulatory trends, customers, and competitors to gauge impacts on insurance programs, deliver actionable insights, and create new products and enhancements.

You will collaborate with product strategy leaders and compliance experts to address emerging trends and develop new insurance products. Customer focus is central to this role—you will engage with customers, respond to their feedback, and anticipate their needs through participation in panels, forums, and individual meetings. Additionally, you may represent Verisk at industry conferences, prepare presentations, and author or co-author white papers or articles.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the team, unit, company, customers, and business partners to gather perspectives and foster partnerships.
  • Take an active role in organizing and developing multi-state filings.
  • Organize commercial auto panel meetings, including compiling, distributing agendas, and documenting minutes.
  • Facilitate legal review of product changes and enhancements.
  • Work with the actuarial department and other internal teams, including Compliance, Government Relations, Operational Support, and Publication Support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of P&C insurance experience with strong knowledge of ISO commercial lines, including market, industry, and competitor trends.
  • Excellent development and analysis of policy forms.
  • Proven research and analytical skills.
  • Proactive problem solver with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience building collaborative internal or external customer relationships to drive innovation, product improvement, or ease of use.
  • CPCU, other industry designations, or a law degree is a plus.
  • Some travel may be required (up to 15%).
