About the role

The Product Development Engineer I is responsible for contributing to the design, development, and testing of new products. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that product specifications meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of new product designs and prototypes
  • Perform tests and evaluations of product components and systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, software developers, and quality assurance personnel
  • Document test results and provide feedback to improve product performance
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements relevant to product development

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in product development or engineering
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with CAD software and product lifecycle management systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Qualifications

  • Proficient in using CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle management systems like Pro/E or Inventor
  • Experience with quality control and assurance processes
  • Understanding of ISO standards and regulations

Skills

  • Strong technical skills in mechanical engineering
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic principles

Pay

$50,000 - $60,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
