About the role
The Product Development Engineer I is responsible for contributing to the design, development, and testing of new products. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that product specifications meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of new product designs and prototypes
- Perform tests and evaluations of product components and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, software developers, and quality assurance personnel
- Document test results and provide feedback to improve product performance
- Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements relevant to product development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in product development or engineering
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles and manufacturing processes
- Experience with CAD software and product lifecycle management systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Qualifications
- Proficient in using CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management systems like Pro/E or Inventor
- Experience with quality control and assurance processes
- Understanding of ISO standards and regulations
Skills
- Strong technical skills in mechanical engineering
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic principles

$50,000 - $60,000 annually
