Product Development Engineer - Electronics R&D

New Product Development

You will work with project technical leads to execute tasks supporting the commercialization of new specialty gases for the Linde Electronics business.

Efficiency Optimization

Identify opportunities to improve the performance of existing R&D systems and processes; develop and implement protocols to measure, analyze, enhance, and control system performance.

Design and Fabrication Expertise

Develop into an internal expert in the design and fabrication of research systems for synthesis, purification, analysis, and application testing of ESGs.

Actively participate in internal technical collaborations to identify opportunities for new products and / or process development programs.

Qualifications

• B.S or M. S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering plus more than five (5+) years of post-B.S. or more than three (3+) years of post-M.S industrial experience in specialty gases product development
• Hands‑on experience with lab‑scale work involving high‑purity, hazardous ESGs
• Proven track record of design and fabrication of gas panels and their control systems for handling hazardous ESGs under vacuum and high‑pressure conditions
• Experience integrating and operating commercial equipment within custom systems for testing ESGs at various temperature, pressure, and flow conditions
• Familiarity with P&ID development and review, HAZOP, PHA, and design safety reviews
• Experience with gas analysis techniques (e.g., GC‑TCD/FID, GC‑MS, FTIR, CRDS, RGA) is a plus
• The ability to work independently and adapt in a fast‑paced R&D environment with shifting priorities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including email, technical documentation, and presentations are required in this role
• Excellent interpersonal skills and effectiveness in collaborative teamwork
