Product Development Assistant

Responsibilities

• Support the development of seasonal apparel styles from initial concept through final sample stages
• Partner with design, technical, sourcing, and production teams to maintain progress against key deadlines
• Track sample status, development milestones, and calendar deliverables across product categories
• Maintain and update product specifications, bills of materials, and development records
• Communicate with domestic and international vendors regarding sample timing, updates, and follow-up items
• Absorb and share fitting notes with cross-functional teams
• Review costing details and help monitor development needs related to quality, timing, and budget
• Identify and resolve development or timeline issues in collaboration with internal teams and external partners

Qualifications

• Previous experience in apparel product development or a related field
• Knowledge of garment construction, fabric development, and trim sourcing
• Experience working with domestic and overseas vendors
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, calendars, and product tracking systems
• Experience in woven or sweater categories is a plus
