About the Role

Responsibilities
- Review sample requests and identify any sampling or production concerns, providing possible solutions.
- Communicate necessary information to respective teams (design, merchandising, fit).
- Create tech packs in the PLM system and costing requests.
- Find and request packaging development and new specs as needed.
- Follow up and track samples to ensure they arrive by deadlines.
- Ensure factories input costs and ETDs into PLM.
- Acquire lab dips, strike-offs, and bulk fabric swatches from vendors/factories and coordinate product approval submissions for final pre-production samples.
- Communicate approval comments and corrections to internal and external channels, including PLM, global factories, vendors, and partners.
- Manage workflow, prioritizing consistent follow-through with factories on proto and pre-production sampling.
- Conduct trend research and store surveys by shopping the market.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of experience in the fashion industry.
- Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and related programs.
- Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
- Trained eye for design elements such as color, proportion, balance, and aesthetic detail.
- Ability to self-manage, work independently, and demonstrate leadership and stress management skills.
- Highly motivated, positive, and strong work and team ethics.
- Critical thinking with the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
- High organizational skills and basic knowledge of licensed apparel.
- Advanced knowledge of apparel construction, pattern creation, fit, print techniques, and fabrications.
- Centric/PLM knowledge is a bonus.
Qualifications
- BA in Fashion Design or Merchandising plus two years of experience in the garment industry.
Schedule
Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, with additional hours as needed to meet business goals and objectives.
