About BJAK

The original mission of BJAK is to believe that people deserve smarter ways to plan, save, and grow their money. Founded in 2019, we built the first mobile-first insurance platform, making insurance accessible online for millions in the region. Today, we are the leading insurance platform in Southeast Asia. We are now expanding to help people with spending, saving, investing, exchanging, traveling, and more. Our mission is to help people get more value from their money every day. We have teams from over 20 nationalities working globally, and we are always looking for the most talented and driven individuals.

  • Build and maintain scalable design systems and reusable UI components.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
  • Improve usability through rapid iteration using product data and user feedback.

  • Portfolio is required.
  • Design Stack: Figma, FigJam, Design Systems, Interactive Prototyping, Auto Layout, Component Libraries.

The Kind of Builder We Want

  • Balances business goals with user experience.
  • Obsesses over clarity, simplicity, and consistency.
  • Works collaboratively with engineers and product teams.
  • Takes ownership from idea through launch.
  • Continuously improves products using real user insights.

This Role Is Not For

  • Designers who only focus on visuals without considering usability.
  • People who require fully detailed specifications before contributing.
  • Designers who struggle to explain design decisions.
  • Individuals who don't enjoy fast-moving startup environments.
  • Candidates who exaggerate ownership or cannot explain what they personally designed.

Location

This role is remote, but candidates must be based in the United States. We are specifically hiring for this market, so applicants should already be based in the US.

Language

English is our primary working language across global teams. Strong English communication is required.
