What You'll Do
- Maintain, expand, and document our Figma design system, ensuring components are clean, consistent, and implementation-ready.
- Produce clear, detailed design specifications for engineering partners to support feature development.
- Audit components, patterns, and screens regularly to identify inconsistencies or opportunities for refinement.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure components are implemented accurately and behave as intended.
- Help promote best practices for accessibility, scalability, and visual consistency across Raya and Places.
- Participate in design critiques, sharing feedback and offering system-level solutions to design challenges.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2-4 years of product or UI/UX design experience with exposure to design systems and component-based design.
- Fluency in Figma and comfort working with libraries, variants, and structured design files.
- A high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a methodical approach to problem solving.
- The ability to translate requirements into clean, accurate design specs for engineering.
- A portfolio that demonstrates UI craft, design systems work, and a clear understanding of scalable design patterns.
- A degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent experience.
- A strong sense of structure and organization, keeping libraries tidy, documented, and easy for the team to use.
- A proactive approach to refinement.
- Comfort collaborating closely with engineering, ensuring components behave as intended across devices and screen sizes.
- A desire to help scale design, supporting smoother workflows, faster shipping, and more coherent product experiences.
