What You Will Work On
- Ideation & Visioning
- Develops ideas that are consistent with the vision for new products by collaborating with product creation on the genesis of new product concepts for all Nike business units.
- Research/Engineering
- Defines protocol and establishes scope of testing required to prove and validate a concept.
- Identifies key elements of product construction materials and processes.
- Engineers prototypes.
- Project Management
- Enables the development of innovation projects turning concept ideation into reality by working in, or with, multi-disciplinary teams to include product creation, manufacturing, and 3rd party vendors.
- Communication
- Aids in preparation of reports and presenting results and market concepts at the functional department level.
What You Bring
- 5+ years in technical bag design
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience with building technical elements of bag design, this role is more technical minded than creative
- Experience creating tech packs for bag design
- Portfolio: technical drawings, bag design examples, ideally more on the utilitarian side than the fashion side
- Nice to have skills:
- Using designs built from AI and making it a real product that factories can make, will have some creative input but is mostly working with existing ideas
- Experience connecting with factories and internal tech development teams
