About the role
Designing the Future of Innovation at Wahl. As a Product Designer, you'll transform concepts into real, manufacturable products reaching customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Supports the full product design lifecycle from concept to production.
- Creates new models for prototyping and production using CAD systems.
- Collaborates with manufacturing and QA to design parts for tooling, assembly, and quality.
- Utilizes drafting practices and standards for detailed drawings creation.
- Performs Tolerance Analysis and applies GD&T to define designs and drawings.
- Participates in DFM and Tooling Reviews with vendors to refine designs.
- Creates and evaluates functional prototypes for design reviews and analysis.
- Revise existing product components or assembly design for continuous improvement upgrades.
- Supports design and drawing revisions, ECNs, and implements changes.
- Uses part inspection tools like micrometers, calipers, comparators, and other measuring equipment.
- Assigns part tolerances and knowledge of tolerance stack-up for component assembly.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in 3D Part & Surface Modeling and 2D Detailed Drawings.
- PREFERRED: CAD tools – NX, SolidWorks, Creo.
- Experience in GD&T and Tolerance Analysis.
- Experience in designing injection molded, casting, stamped, and machined parts.
- Experience with DFM and Tooling reviews.
- Good organizational skills, detail-oriented, and strong communication skills.
- Good collaboration skills to act as a team player.
