About The Role
As a Product Designer for Usul, you will design for our commercial platform, assisting the world's largest defense companies and cutting-edge startups in winning government contracts. Working closely with the Head of Product Design, you will collaborate with engineers and operational stakeholders to bring features from concept to implementation, ensuring a consistent and intuitive user experience across the Usul platform. You will be responsible for designing for both the commercial platform and the interfaces used by government operators to acquire technology quickly.
Who We’re Looking For
- 2-5 years of experience in Product/UX Design
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Miro, etc.
- Experience using AI tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable, etc.
- Ability to turn raw user feedback into actionable product experiences
- Strong background in user research and prototyping
- Willingness to challenge current industry practices and build a new category of product
- Excellent storytelling skills
- Willingness to travel to military bases for customer engagements
Responsibilities
- Design solutions to complex problems, considering long-term impacts and delivering polished designs within a defined Usul product area
- Gain a deep understanding of your users and incorporate this knowledge into the design process
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, the Head of Product Design, and other stakeholders
- Show strong craftsmanship and interaction design, maintaining high standards for user experiences and the design system
- Create design materials as needed
