About the role
We’re looking for a Product Designer to define how Pinners interact with Pinterest across notification and identity experiences. You’ll shape high-impact projects that help Pinners stay informed, feel safe and represented, and build lasting connections with our product. At Pinterest, AI is a powerful partner that augments creativity and amplifies impact, and we’re looking for candidates excited to be part of that.
Responsibilities
- Design cross-channel engagement by delivering notifications and identity experiences across push, email, and in-app surfaces (iOS, Android, Desktop, Web).
- Turn ambiguity into clarity by translating ambiguous product problems into clear design requirements, user flows, and interaction patterns.
- Collaborate to drive growth by partnering closely with PMs, engineers, researchers, and data scientists to identify growth opportunities and design experiments that move key metrics.
- Design with data, using qualitative and quantitative insights to refine your work, from visual hierarchy and micro-interactions to the pacing of the experience.
- Think in systems by crafting end-to-end user journeys, high-fidelity visuals, and polished prototypes that build on and extend the Pinterest design system for cohesive and precise touchpoints.
- Tell a clear design story by presenting your work clearly, documenting decisions and tradeoffs, and advocating for user-centered, growth-driven solutions.
- Model respectful and proactive communication by sharing project work and updates early and often, addressing blockers, keeping calendars updated, and contributing to a professional, collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- 2-3 years’ experience in product design, ideally in growth, with a strong track record shipping experiences in B2C or consumer-facing mobile app products.
- High bar for visual craft, using prototypes to communicate design proposals, test concepts, and build alignment with stakeholders.
- Execute with rigor and detail, demonstrated by a portfolio showing robust flows and specs for mobile and web, thoughtful handling of edge cases, and a clear grasp of business and user needs.
- Working knowledge of UX principles and the ability to turn business goals into testable hypotheses and experiments.
- Data-informed mindset, with a passion for learning from user research and experimentation, iterating quickly while maintaining a high quality bar.
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to drive projects independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Mastery of Figma, strong prototyping skills, and experience creating clear, detailed handoff documentation for engineers.
- Champion user-first collaboration by fostering a positive, humble, and highly collaborative environment across design and cross-functional partners.
