Product Designer
About the role
In this role, you will own product interface design across our ecosystem, including agent tools, policyholder experiences, and internal platforms. You will work closely with product and engineering from discovery through implementation, shaping flows, interactions, and systems that prioritize clarity, consistency, and long-term quality. This role has meaningful ownership over core product surfaces and will help shape how Sola’s platform evolves as we scale.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship clear, intuitive product interfaces across multiple user types
- Own end-to-end user flows from concept through implementation
- Partner closely with product managers and engineers to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
- Use research, testing, and product metrics to inform and improve designs
- Contribute to and evolve Sola’s design system and shared UI patterns
- Maintain a high standard of interface quality across visual design, interaction design, and usability
Requirements
Experience designing complex, data-driven products or interfaces with multiple user types
Experience contributing to or evolving a design system across multiple product surfaces
Strong collaboration with engineers to ensure designs are feasible, maintainable, and consistent
Familiarity with accessibility and responsive design best practices
Experience with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma or similar
Experience creating prototypes using code or code-adjacent tools (Cursor, Framer, React, or similar) to validate complex interactions
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as an in-house product designer working on shipped products
- A portfolio demonstrating strong product thinking and interface design, especially in simplifying complex systems
- Bring a structured approach to design using research, principles, and clear rationale
- Understand how design supports adoption, usability, and long-term product quality
- Communicate clearly and present your work well
- Have strong visual and interface design skills focused on hierarchy, clarity, and consistency
Skills
- Experience with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma or similar
- Experience creating prototypes using code or code-adjacent tools (Cursor, Framer, React, or similar) to validate complex interactions
