Product Designer
About the role
We are seeking a Product Designer with an exceptional eye for visual craft and interaction design to own the GamePlay Live Sweat and Tracking experience. This role focuses on building new ways to keep members engaged in the moment, turning the live experience into the reason they return, and pushing the boundaries of what can be done in the Daily Fantasy Sports industry. You will drive the look, feel, and interaction of everything from the play-by-play feed to cashout to the moment an entry settles—the surfaces where members spend the most time and where craft and clarity directly impact retention.
Responsibilities
- Drive End-to-End Delivery: Own the full design lifecycle in the Live Tracking domain, from initial requirements gathering through ship and post-launch iteration. Shape the systems themselves, not just the screens, by understanding the underlying mechanics and business drivers.
- Build & Refine Interfaces: Stay hands-on with high-fidelity prototyping and pixel-level execution. Focus on transitions, timing, and details to elevate the quality of Live Tracking surfaces.
- Develop & Ship New Systems: Use AI, rapid prototyping, and iterative design to conceptualize and launch real-time surfaces that keep pace with live games.
- Raise the Design Bar: Maintain high standards through consistent critique, contributions to design systems, and craft standards that ensure visual and interaction coherence across the domain.
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Social Design teams to balance business goals with a seamless tracking experience for members.
Requirements
- 4+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio showcasing mastery in visual craft, interaction design, and strategic thinking. Your work should demonstrate how to create emotionally engaging digital experiences.
- Excel in Visual and Interaction Design: Mastery of visual design principles (typography, layout, color theory) and a passion for motion and micro-interactions that enhance usability and delight. A "pixel-perfect" mindset is essential.
- Strategic and Conceptual Thinking: Ability to translate abstract business goals and user needs into a compelling design vision and pragmatic execution plan, from MVP to future-state iterations. Skilled at simplifying complex, interconnected systems.
- Deep Empathy and User Focus: Innate ability to understand user motivations and behaviors, with usability and accessibility as core tenets of design. Leverage research, analytics, and customer insights to inform your work.
- Technical Acumen: Foundational understanding of frontend technologies and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with engineering partners. Use AI to bridge gaps and build functional prototypes.
- Industry Interest: Genuine interest in sports, Daily Fantasy, and prediction markets. You watch games, understand the excitement of live outcomes, and have opinions on which live sports products excel.
