About the role
The role of the founding staff designer at Mutiny is to redefine the category of B2B go-to-market software. Currently dominated by dense, generic, and admin-heavy tools, Mutiny aims to build an agentic platform that empowers revenue teams to create work that feels genuinely useful and on-brand.
Responsibilities
- Create surfaces and flows for product surfaces, focusing on creating assets, reviewing AI output, editing generated work, managing brand guidance, and streamlining the process from idea to finished work.
- Work closely with senior design, product, and engineering teams to develop the product experience, ensuring it feels sharp, clear, and polished.
- Develop reusable components and patterns that enable the product to move faster while maintaining a clean and organized interface.
- Explore and design new UI patterns for AI-native interactions, such as working with agents, generating content, and learning from user preferences.
Requirements
- Early career, high slope with a strong desire to learn and grow rapidly.
- Comfortable making reasonable decisions based on available information and using judgment to guide the design process.
- Strong product instincts, noticing when a flow feels confusing, an AI output feels generic, or a screen is trying to do too much.
- Fast, open, and coachable, eager to receive feedback and iterate on designs.
- Energized by the pace of the product development cycle and the opportunity to shape the future of AI-native GTM software.
Qualifications
- Experience in designing for complex, AI-driven products.
- A background in user-centered design and a deep understanding of human-computer interaction.
- Strong visual design skills, including layout, hierarchy, typography, and spacing.
- Experience with design systems and component libraries.
- Interest in and knowledge of AI and its applications in software design.
Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with product managers, engineers, and other designers.
- Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
