Product Designer

About the role

A highly autonomous Product Design Lead is sought after to bring 3–5+ years of experience designing complex, stateful digital products and strong frontend React skills. The ideal candidate will operate as a true technical partner, owning the entire design process to build a scalable, component-driven design system that engineers will use by default and that is directly consumable by AI tools like Claude Code.

Responsibilities

• Own the entire design process to build a scalable, component-driven design system that engineers will use by default and that is directly consumable by AI tools like Claude Code—taking design completely out of the Figma silo.
• Actively tweak TypeScript/CSS, push PRs, and leverage rapid prototyping to define the UI/UX direction for high-stakes operational workflows before heavy engineering even begins.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience designing complex, stateful digital products.
• Strong frontend React skills.

Qualifications

• Tight-knit team of around 20 employees.
• Builds an AI-powered compliance platform called Conduit that automates and accelerates massive bureaucratic workflows—like ITAR compliance, security classification, and e-discovery—for the U.S. government and the defense industrial base.
• Pioneering mission-critical, AI-augmented infrastructure that turns dense policies into expert AI reviewers.
• Direct access to the leadership team.

Skills

• Experience with TypeScript/CSS.
• Ability to work closely with engineers and leverage rapid prototyping.
