Product Designer
Product Designer Responsibilities
Leads and delivers design projects of large and/or ambiguous scope
Turns broad, conceptual ideas into useful and valuable products for 2 billion+ users
Designs flows and experiences that simplify complex actions into usable interfaces
Develops new experiences or layouts that evolve visual systems
Contributes to strategic decisions around the future direction of FB products
Gives and solicits feedback from designers and a broader product team to raise quality standards
Leads partnerships with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to oversee the user experience from conception to launch
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience designing complex software products, focusing on user experience, interaction, and visual design that meet business objectives
- Experience conducting complex research studies and driving business growth through design-led innovation
- Experience leading end-to-end development efforts, collaborating with Cross Functional Partner (XFN) teams, developing design roadmaps, and making high-impact decisions balancing user needs with business growth objectives
- Expertise in advanced prototyping techniques, including creating functional prototypes or using emerging technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience showcasing an end-to-end design process across multiple projects, including interaction and visual design artifacts, multiple iterations, and high-fidelity prototypes
- Experience connecting work with other related initiatives across the company to drive collaboration
- Proven leadership in non-product dimensions that strengthen teams and positively impact the work environment
- Proven ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Proven ability to adhere to and implement responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Proven ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

Compensation
$170,000/year to $236,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
