On-siteArt & Creative$236k–$278k/yrFull-time

About the role

Fluidstack is seeking a Product Designer to own the end-to-end design of our products, both internal and external. This is a hands-on IC role, not a design strategy or oversight position. You will be embedded with our product and engineering teams, shaping interfaces used daily by GPU cluster operators, AI platform engineers, and enterprise infrastructure teams. Your work will involve designing developer-facing products such as cluster management dashboards, API consoles, job scheduling interfaces, resource utilization views, and alerting and observability surfaces. You will work closely with Product Managers and Engineers, conduct user research with technical audiences, and ensure designs are production-ready.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating complex, data-dense, or developer-facing products.
  • Demonstrated history of designing developer tools, infrastructure UIs, API management consoles, observability dashboards, or other technically complex interfaces.
  • Fluency with modern design tooling (Figma required) and the ability to build high-fidelity, interactive prototypes.
  • Expert-level CSS: writing it from scratch, debugging in production, and understanding the cascade, specificity, and layout models (Flexbox, Grid).
  • Strong front-end web proficiency: HTML, component-based frameworks (React or equivalent), and a working understanding of browser rendering and design decisions affecting performance.
  • End-to-end ownership mindset: taking designs from concept to production, not just handing off to engineering.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills: explaining design decisions to engineers and PMs without deck support.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing tools for physical infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, or AI platforms, or deep familiarity with this user base.
  • Prior experience building or contributing to a design system from the ground up, including token architecture, documentation, and cross-team adoption.
  • Comfort working directly in code: modifying React components, prototyping in CSS, or collaborating on front-end implementation in a shared codebase.
  • History of sourcing and running user research with technical stakeholders: SREs, ML engineers, DevOps leads, or platform engineers.
  • Familiarity with the visual language of technical products: terminal aesthetics, information density, dark mode UX, monospace typography, dashboarding, and a thoughtful perspective on when to embrace vs. evolve it.

Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
  • Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.
