Product Designer
Role Overview
As a Product Designer, you'll own product experiences from concept through launch. You'll work across discovery, strategy, interaction design, prototyping, and execution, helping transform complex business and technical challenges into elegant user experiences. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys operating with significant ownership, and wants to influence both product direction and customer outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end design for product initiatives from discovery through launch
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to define solutions and prioritize opportunities
- Translate customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints into intuitive experiences
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and polished UI designs
- Conduct and synthesize user research and customer feedback
- Use qualitative and quantitative insights to inform decisions
- Contribute to and evolve Button's design system
- Help establish design best practices across the organization
- Present work clearly and effectively to stakeholders
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience designing digital products
- Strong portfolio demonstrating product thinking and business impact
- Experience owning product areas independently
- Excellent interaction and systems design skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfort working in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities
- Proficiency with modern design tools (Figma required)
Bonus Points
- Experience in fintech, commerce, marketplaces, advertising technology, or B2B SaaS
- Experience at startups or high-growth companies
- Familiarity with experimentation and data-informed product development
- Experience designing for complex workflows or operational tools
Compensation & Benefits
Button’s total compensation package includes a base salary competitive with what is offered by similar companies in major US markets. The salary range for this role in the United States is expected to be between $145,000 – $175,000 (offered salary is based on a number of factors including skills and experience relative to the job description listed above).
