About the role
The Brick is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accessibility Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of our digital products and services are accessible to people with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct accessibility audits and assessments of our digital products and services.
- Develop and implement accessibility guidelines and best practices for our team.
- Work closely with developers and designers to ensure that accessibility is integrated into the product development process.
- Provide training and support to our team on accessibility principles and techniques.
- Monitor and report on accessibility compliance metrics.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in web accessibility, user experience, or a related field.
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and other relevant accessibility standards.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with accessibility tools and technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and color contrast analyzers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Understanding of web accessibility principles and best practices.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to identify areas for improvement.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
