Product Designer
About the role
The Product Designer at Commure will design intuitive productivity experiences for healthcare providers. Their work will span interaction, systems, and service design, grounded in a user-centered process that balances provider needs, business goals, and technical possibility. They will simplify complex, multi-dimensional workflows and contribute across the full product lifecycle: discovery research, ideation, iteration, and client launch.
Responsibilities
- Create and deliver high-quality, polished, and intuitive UI/UX designs that enhance the overall visual appeal and user experience of Commure Ambient AI.
- Create wireframes, low and high-fidelity interfaces, and interactive prototypes in Figma, Cursor, and other AI-powered tools to support the development of new features and product enhancements.
- Conduct user research, develop insights through journey mapping, UX workflow analysis, and testing to validate design decisions and improve user experiences.
- Develop design briefs and PRDs framing product opportunities and translating them into actionable projects.
- Collaborate and strategize with design and cross-functional partners, including product managers, engineers, and customer success teams, to conceptualize and refine product features.
- Solicit and share feedback for continuous improvement, articulating your design decisions throughout the process.
- Identify future opportunities and influence product roadmaps as a key thought partner to your product and engineering counterparts, balancing business requirements and end-user needs.
Requirements
You're proactive, detail-oriented, and effective under ambiguity. You are a strong communicator both in writing and collaborative settings. You thrive in fast-paced environments and bring genuine curiosity to understanding healthcare, from clinical workflows to the business and operations of running a practice. You don't just execute PRDs and hand off specs; you help define the problem and you stay engaged through execution.
Skills and Traits
- A strong sense of craftsmanship from creating refined interaction experiences, paying attention to details, addressing edge cases, and building delightful micro-interactions.
- A self-motivated, proactive mindset - you are always looking for opportunities to improve a product and drive projects forward.
- Strategic thinking - you are a high-level thinker that always thinks about the larger picture of product experience as a whole, beyond the specific feature you are working on.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills - you can understand business priorities and technical constraints, and articulate your design solutions to stakeholders and cross-functional team members.
- Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity, and propose design concepts with an informed POV with incomplete information.
- A passion for learning directly from users and building meaningful products.
- You write to think, with experience developing design briefs and PRDs, and the ability to integrate complex business information into actionable design propositions.
- Strong organizational and management skills - you can bring structure to ambiguity, organize your work through setting expectations and timelines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
