Oil Filtration Systems manufactures oil purification equipment designed to remove contamination (water, particulate, varnish, and/or entrained gases) from a wide variety of fluids, including turbine oil, hydraulic oil, gear oil, and fuel oil. We operate the largest, newest, and best-maintained rental fleet of advanced oil and fuel purification equipment in the industry. Our Field Services Division provides highly qualified technicians for filtration and flushing services worldwide, mobilizing quickly for emergencies, scheduled outages, routine maintenance, and pre-commissioning of new equipment.

About the Role
A Product/Design Technician will complete assigned design projects in support of development and manufacturing activities and regulatory requirements by using thorough knowledge of design practices and good engineering concepts. This role involves a variety of engineering work in design and development of products and their component parts, including 2D/3D CAD, testing, and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop bills of material, drawings, and documentation, including design criteria, part numbers, assembly diagrams, and standard products.
- Responsibility for product line design and application of products to customer requirements.
- Convey information on new or updated products to involved departments and personnel.
- Work with manufacturing, purchasing, and sales on selecting materials and processes.
- Direct maintenance of department technical data on component parts, customer drawings, and specifications.
- Provide manufacturing support to resolve machining and assembly problems.
- With engineering direction, evaluate and supervise disposition of returned product (RMAs) and make recommendations based on root cause analysis.
- With engineering direction, conduct analytical studies on engineering proposals to develop designs for products such as fluid handling devices, valves, pressure vessels, equipment, machinery, and associated subsystem components.
- With engineering direction, manage projects from conception through release for production.
- Interact and communicate effectively with all levels of employees, suppliers, customers, and peers.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, standards, and rules.
- Maintain quality assurance policy consistent with ISO standards.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
- Ensure punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Two-year Engineering Technology/related degree or equivalent coursework in pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering.
- Experience with both 2D and 3D CAD systems; SolidWorks experience preferred.
- Good understanding of mechanical concepts and usage.
- Ability to utilize engineering software tools.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office products, with the ability to use and apply advanced spreadsheets and analytical techniques.
Work Environment
- Minimal lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, and stoop in a normal office environment.
- Routine travel throughout multi-floor office and shop areas, including walking, climbing stairs, and using elevators.
- Normal vision and manual dexterity for office duties.
- Able to read, write, follow verbal commands, and communicate in Standard English.
- Normal office environment with ongoing strict deadlines and changing project assignments.
