For our client, a leader in the Enterprise Technology space, we are seeking a Product Design Manager to advance people and talent initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and employee experience. You will collaborate with business leaders, HR partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to align workforce priorities with business objectives, influencing culture, talent strategy, and scalable people operations within a technology-driven environment.
Location: San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of four product designers across different time zones
- Oversee design operations, ensuring design quality and team collaboration
- Integrate design early in project lifecycles by engaging at kickoff meetings
- Maintain design quality by enforcing sign-off protocols before engineering handoff
- Collaborate with the VP Product on priorities and tradeoff decisions
- Identify and address experience quality issues during design reviews
- Facilitate team-wide practices that enhance collaboration and innovation
Qualifications
- 7+ years of product design experience, including people management experience
- Experience managing product designers across multiple product areas simultaneously
- Strong systems thinking applicable to B2B, B2C, and two-sided interactions
- Proven ability to position design upstream in product processes
- Comfortable in fast-paced environments with incomplete information
- Player-coach mentality valuing both design craft and management capabilities
- Proficient in Figma and modern design tools; familiar with prototyping workflows
- Experience with AI-powered design tools and workflows

Pay
$210,000 – $260,000 annually
