About the role
We’re partnering with a privately owned, growing manufacturer that is looking for a Product Design Engineer to support new product development from concept through production.
Responsibilities
- Create 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and release documentation.
- Design parts and assemblies involving sheet metal, plastic injection molding, formed parts, and manufactured components.
- Apply DFM and DFA principles to make products easier, faster, and more cost-effective to manufacture.
- Support prototyping, testing, validation, and design improvements.
- Perform basic engineering analysis, including FEA, tolerance stack-ups, stress checks, and thermal assessments.
- Work with Manufacturing, Quality, Suppliers, and Product Management to solve design and production issues.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to improve quality, reduce cost, and shorten lead times.
Requirements
- Mechanical product design experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with SolidWorks.
- Proven experience designing sheet metal and/or plastic injection molded parts.
- Ability to take products from concept, prototype, testing, validation, and production release.
- Strong understanding of DFM, DFA, tolerances, materials, and manufacturability.
- Experience creating finished drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally with manufacturing and suppliers.
- Experience with fans, ventilation, HVAC components, or system-level mechanical products is a plus.
Qualifications
- No remote or work-from-home option.

- $105,000-$120,000 salary plus bonus.
