Responsibilities
- Layout of custom, state-of-the-art PCBs
- PCB test and debug
- Team with PCB designers, firmware, and software engineers to create embedded computing solutions
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Experience and understanding with printed circuit board layout
- Ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Interconnect Designer (CID) Certification
- Certified Interconnect Designer Advanced (CID+) Certification
- Certified Printed Circuit Designer (CPCD) certification
- Experience with Siemens layout tools (PADS and/or Expedition)
- Experience with high-layer-count stack-ups (18+ copper layers)
- Experience with PCB layout, testing, and debugging for applications involving state-of-the-art FPGAs, high-speed, and large memory
- Experience routing signals with high-speed data-rates (5+ gb/s)
- Experience routing modern memory topologies (DDR4/5)
- Experience with fine design features (3 mil trace & space)
Physical Demands
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sub-contractor you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sub-contractor, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
