Product Design Detailer

Key Job Responsibilities

• Creates work orders for the production team using drawings and order forms supplied by customers.
• Works with customers to provide them with the correct product for their application.
• Reads and translates hardware templates.
• Modifies, copies, and stores documents using software and hardware.
• Communicates with internal and external customers via email, phone, and in-person.

Position Requirements

• A high school diploma/GED or equivalent education and experience.
• The ability to perform basic algebra.
• The ability to learn specialized software.
• A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
• An excellent attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team with internal and external customers.
• A proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects with minor variations, and meet deadlines.
• The ability to use phones, copiers, and scanners (office machines).
• The ability to use or knowledge of measuring devices such as a ruler, tape measure, micrometer, and caliper.
• A demonstrated ability to be flexible and respond to changing business demands.
• Familiarity with construction division 8 products and terminology is a plus.

Primary Physical Requirements

• Works in a traditional office environment.
• Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate office equipment, and reach with hands and arms.
• Required to talk and hear.
• Frequently required to sit for long periods of time.
• Occasionally required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 20lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Required Safety Equipment

• Safety glasses are always required on the production floor.
• Hearing protection is required in designated areas.
