Product Demonstrator PT
Part-time role, typically not exceeding 25 hours per week, though hours may vary based on business or client needs.
About the role
The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. You will acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented, prepare, serve, and break down product, equipment, and supplies, and intercept consumers to demonstrate products in a professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
- Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to consumers in a positive manner.
- Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
- Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe work station using cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
- Properly set up and prepare the Event Table for execution.
- Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
- Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
- Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
- Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
- Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
- Navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
- Follow any other job-related instructions and perform additional tasks as directed by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in using and navigating personal computers or mobile devices, including applications and internal systems.
- Local food handlers permit may be required.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects.
- Reach with hands and arms, including conducting tasks overhead up to 65 inches.
- Talk and hear, with visual ability to read instructions and perform events.
- Stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up a ladder, and maintain balance.
- Lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds).
- Push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies, and product.
- Prepare foods and beverages using required appliances such as cooking utensils, knives, convection oven, coffee maker, electric fryer, and microwaves.
- Be in contact with cleaning supplies.
Work Environment
- Retail store environment with limited travel.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and proper grooming, adhering to specific retailer dress code requirements.
Skills
- English is the primary language skill; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
Pay
$14.00 per hour.
