Product Definition Engineer

About the role

Rolls Royce Motor Cars seeks a Product Definition Engineer to translate ultra luxury vehicle concepts into precise, manufacturable product definitions. You will own requirements, specifications, and BoMs, working closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure feasibility, craftsmanship, and compliance with Rolls Royce and BMW Group standards. You will manage engineering changes, validate data in PLM/CAD systems, support prototype builds, and resolve definition issues on the shop floor, all in a culture that blends heritage, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Translate vehicle concepts into detailed product requirements and specifications.
• Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials in PLM systems.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality to ensure feasibility and craftsmanship.
• Manage engineering changes and documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Validate product data in CAD/PLM and resolve inconsistencies.
• Support prototype and pre‑series builds with clear product definitions.
• Ensure compliance with Rolls Royce, BMW Group, and regulatory standards.
• Provide technical input to improve product definition processes and tools.
