About the role

This temporary, onsite assignment is based in Libert, NC and supports a prominent global automotive manufacturer during a new-model launch. You will collaborate with engineers, project-management groups, construction teams, purchasing, and other divisions to achieve project milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate new-model launch activities across multiple domestic and international divisions throughout every phase of vehicle development up to start of production.
  • Problem-solve issues that could impact successful project or launch execution, leading cross-departmental efforts to apply countermeasures and prevent recurrence.
  • Define and report overall project KPIs and milestones using the Battery Master Operation Plan (OP); establish standard reporting structures and outputs.

  • Support construction activities: coordinate building-preparation milestones, installation kickoffs, construction Obeyas, and liaise with the Facilities projects team.

  • Complete internal and external training as required.
  • Handle ad-hoc requests and cross-functional projects such as budget, asset management, shutdowns, and other company initiatives.

This role demands the ability to multi-task across conflicting deadlines and priorities while communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders. Specific tasks may shift to meet overall project needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience in a project-related role.
  • Project-management experience with capital investments exceeding $0.5 M.
  • Experience setting, managing, visualizing, and reporting KPIs, including presenting data-driven recommendations to senior/executive leadership.
  • Experience creating and maintaining detailed schedules and milestone-tracking.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10 % (international travel not currently planned).
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods (e.g., July and December) as needed.
  • Ability to support occasional evening meetings with Japan based on project schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Client/supplier management experience.
  • Battery or automotive manufacturing background.
  • 3-Pillar management or execution experience.
  • Understanding and execution of Gated Management or BRAD milestones.
  • Experience with client Business Practices (TBP) problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with client planning processes, specifications, and product development.
