About the role
NMI is seeking a Product Data Analyst to join our team. This role is crucial for driving strategic decisions across acquiring operations and merchant lifecycle products. The ideal candidate will dive deep into data, build scalable reporting frameworks, and translate complex operational metrics into clear business insights.
Responsibilities
- Lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of operational and product data to drive strategy, optimization, and growth across NMI’s acquiring platform and Merchant Central.
- Partner closely with Product Managers supporting ISO operations, Merchant Central, ScanX, Business Capital lending, and additional acquiring extensions.
- Build analytical frameworks that empower product and business teams to make data-driven decisions.
- Conduct opportunity sizing, forecasting, trend analysis, and operational performance analysis to support strategic planning.
- Design, build, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide actionable visibility into KPIs, operational health, merchant performance, and product adoption.
- Create executive-ready visualizations and narratives that clearly communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop self-service reporting capabilities that enable teams to independently explore operational and product data.
- Maintain data quality, transaction integrity, and operational reporting accuracy across the acquiring lifecycle.
- Investigate anomalies, breakages, settlement discrepancies, reconciliation issues, and operational incidents proactively.
- Analyze large transactional datasets to uncover trends, operational bottlenecks, growth opportunities, and merchant behavior insights.
- Partner across teams to ensure accuracy in financial reporting, ACH reconciliation, settlement operations, and partner reporting.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to define event tracking, instrumentation, and data collection standards.
- Support business stakeholders across Product, Operations, Finance, Sales, and Support with timely insights and ad-hoc analysis.
- Help establish KPI cadences and operational review processes across monthly, quarterly, and annual business rhythms.
- Contribute to building a strong data discipline across product and operations teams through experimentation, measurement, and analytical rigor.
- Identify inefficient operational workflows and opportunities for automation through data and reporting improvements.
- Streamline operational reporting and reduce manual analysis through scalable analytics solutions and tooling.
- Support experimentation frameworks, A/B testing analysis, and operational performance measurement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and data-visualization skills, particularly with Tableau.
- Experience with SQL and data modeling.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for data-driven decision-making and operational improvement.

$90,000—$125,000 USD depending on experience
