Product Controller, Financial Reporting

Company Overview: A New York-based commercial bank provides a full range of financial services to middle-market companies, private clients, and international businesses. They are seeking a Product Controller to enhance their accounting function and support financial reporting. Job Responsibilities: Build and execute financial controls for product areas such as loans, deposits, securities, and derivatives.Facilitate process enhancements for financial reporting and controls across the accounting function.Process journal entries to the ledger based on closing procedures and reconcile breaks.Investigate and resolve breaks, collaborating with other departments as needed.Assist in Call Report preparations and other regulatory filings.Facilitate external audits by working with auditors to provide requested support.Facilitate financial statement preparation and perform analytics on financial results.Collaborate with other departments in analyses of financial results and controls.Assist in vendor risk management and other ad hoc projects. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.Active CPA license.3-5+ years of public accounting experience at one of the Big 4 firms.Financial Services experience.Strong time management and project management skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
