Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Monitor emerging regulations and standards; proactively recommend changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Conduct regulatory risk assessments for assigned product categories, collaborating with procurement, compliance, quality, and legal teams.
  • Review in-depth product documentation, including complex test reports, technical specifications, and regulatory submissions for a diverse range of products.
  • Support business teams in checking the availability and content of compliance verification documents such as test reports and self-declarations from the suppliers, during different parts of the product lifecycle.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve company-wide product compliance policies and procedures.
  • Proactively identify compliance risks, lead complex audits, and serve as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor and train junior compliance staff, fostering a culture of compliance and technical excellence.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Working knowledge of US regulations (e.g., FDA 21 CFR, CPSC 16 CFR, EPA TSCA VI, DOE 10 CFR).
    • Knowledge on product certifications such as NSF, ETL, etc.
  • Education:

  • Desired Traits & Skills:
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), PDFs
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.
    • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities; able to effectively escalate issues and resolve conflicts.
    • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Ability to balance and prioritize tasks in a timely and effective manner
    • Strong work ethic
