Product Assurance Analyst

About the role

The Product Assurance Analyst is responsible for performing QA and/or customer pump inspections at ITT Goulds Pumps in Seneca Falls, NY. This role involves interaction and support with Union personnel building the units, assisting in resolving problems, and issuing supporting paperwork for resolution.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA final inspection of assembled pump units to factory order requirements.
• Log inspection results into Excel and SharePoint databases used by Quality Engineers to implement corrective actions.
• Verify proper documentation has been acquired from vendors to be submitted per customer requirements.
• Work with the Scheduler for the selection of rough and finished parts to meet QA requirements—stock selects from rough stock.
• Dimensionally measure finished stock parts when an out-of-tolerance condition arises on assembly to alleviate future occurrences.
• Work with shop personnel and foreman to correct discrepancies on inspection jobs in a timely fashion.
• Assist shop personnel by obtaining component drawings when discrepancies occur during the build process.
• Maintain a working relationship with the Software QA Auditor to supply missing required QA documentation.
• Assist and answer questions from outside customers/inspectors in a personable and knowledgeable manner.
• Supply pertinent information with supporting photos to QA Engineers for issuance of discrepancies to vendors.
• Perform visual weld inspections.
• Perform any special studies or projects as assigned by supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2-year technical degree or High School Diploma with equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of Quality Inspection experience is required.
• Experience working in a machine shop and/or assembly build environment is preferred.

• PC Skills: AS400, Excel, Word.
• VT Level II certification is preferred.

Pay

Annual salary range: $72,300 to $107,500 plus benefits and incentive plans. The salary offered is based on candidate experience, qualifications, location, and market considerations.
