Job Description

The Product Analyst is responsible for detailed business system and process analysis within a defined product or capability area. They partner closely with Product Owners and support Product Managers to translate business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational needs into clear testable requirements and delivery-ready backlog items.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, optimize, and benchmark SQL queries across Oracle and Snowflake, diagnose and resolve highly complex performance and data quality issues through rigorous root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with Universal Client Manager technology teams to define specifications, design documents, and functional use cases for system enhancements and integrations.
  • Elicit, challenge, and prioritize business requirements using standard processes and templates, translate requirements into clear functional designs, user stories, and use case documentation.
  • Develop project scope, objectives, constraints, and assumptions for large strategic multi-year initiatives, ensuring alignment to business outcomes and operational architecture.
  • Provide consultation to IT and business management on applying technology to business opportunities, plan and guide implementation of cross-functional applications and systems.
  • Participate in and provide guidance on technical design reviews, test planning, and user documentation, ensuring end-to-end traceability from requirements through testing and release.
  • Manage scope changes and dependencies using formal requirements management principles including change control traceability and stakeholder signoffs.
  • Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to develop recommendations addressing strategic objectives across multiple global business and technology areas.
  • Engage in industry forums to maintain current domain knowledge, incorporate best practices into solution design and process improvements.
  • Apply experience with software systems development processes to design and implement improved methodologies, actively influence continuous improvement in SDLC and data practices.
  • May allocate and coordinate work within a team or project ensuring delivery quality and timeline adherence.

Required Qualifications

  • Gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements including regulatory control, data resilience, and operational considerations.
  • Create and maintain business analysis artifacts such as process flows, user journeys, decision tables, data mappings, and traceability documentation.
  • Support backlog refinement and readiness by defining scope, acceptance criteria, business rules, and edge cases.
  • Partner with QA and business stakeholders to validate requirements, support UAT, assist with defect triage, and release readiness.

Product Rot Analyst

  • Conduct impact assessments across systems workflows and controls while identifying risks and dependencies.

Base Compensation Range

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $90,000 - $120,000.
