About the role
CBS Sacramento is looking for an experienced Newscast Producer who thrives on setting the news agenda for Northern California. The ideal candidate will embrace our “Getting Answers” mission and our Community Journalism initiative. You will work closely with our team of managers, anchors, reporters, photographers, editors, and fellow journalists to craft engaging shows.
Responsibilities
- Originate, research, write, produce, and edit compelling news segments for television and digital platforms.
- Produce live breaking news with adaptability and composure in fast-paced control-room situations.
- Adopt change and innovation by seeking new ideas and approaches to connect with our audience.
- Ensure accurate grammar, spelling, and attention to detail in all content produced.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of broadcast or cable news experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience on INEWS/ENPS or equivalent news computer system.
- Experience working with video editing systems.
Pay
Hiring salary range: $72,384.00 - $80,000.00. The range applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay depends on geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
