About the role
We are seeking an experienced Produce Quality Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The role involves ensuring all incoming shipments meet required quality standards, inspecting incoming product, coordinating inspections, and maintaining detailed records.
Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming product and identify pallets requiring immediate attention
- Maintain quality issues are reported and blocked in the system until resolved
- Maintain quality reports for arrivals, outbound orders, claims, and aged inventory
- Collaborate with Supply Chain teams to ensure products are allocated according to quality performance
- Maintain accurate inspection records and issue tracking
- Coordinate inspections with quality teams and communicate updates
- Track and upload all quality-related claims and documentation
- Coordinate surveyor inspections with warehouse and supply chain teams
- Prepare and present operational reports including: Quality-on-arrival performance by grower, claims and arrival issue summaries, inventory ageing reports, repack and reprocessing performance analysis
Requirements
- Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience, minimum 3 years’ experience within the produce/fresh fruit industry
- Open for people based in New Jersey, Philadelphia and Delaware area
- Inspection of the fruit is done in our Warehouse Coldrooms
- Experience with: Fresh fruit handling and packing operations, Quality inspections, Inventory control processes, Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel between sites when required
- Ability to work in cold storage environments
- Technical Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of produce quality standards and customer specifications, Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook), Experience analyzing data and preparing reports, ERP or inventory management system experience advantageous
Qualifications
