Produce Inspector, Overnight Shift , Distribution Center

Shift

1:30 am - 10:00 am

Responsibilities

• Inspect all products for grade, condition, and quality.
• Monitor produce section of warehouse for cleanliness and temperature.
• Inspect both inbound product and slotted items for quality and condition.
• Assist in unloading, receiving, and preparation for put away, as needed.
• Inspect and grade or appraise agricultural commodities offered for sale to determine value and yield.
• Verify information such as the manufacturer number, season code, PLU/UPC number.
• Attend Team and Facility meetings.
• Participate in yearly physical inventory or as needed.
• Able to read and download TempTales for proper reporting to vendors.

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence to all buyers and WFP office.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS Excel.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Effective oral and written communication; must read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Accurate and self-motivated.
• Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the Distribution Center, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Related experience (1-2 years).
• Warehouse experience preferred.

Pay

$21.00 - $36.00 hourly, commensurate with experience.
