Produce Inspection Team Leader, Distribution Center

Responsibilities

• Communicate and model the vision and goals of Whole Foods Market.
• Interview, select, train, develop and counsel Team Members and Team Leaders.
• Maintain quality standards for all inbound produce.
• Contact and secure USDA inspections when necessary.
• Responsible for all ripening processes.
• Seek out new ways to improve produce inspection processes, communication and reporting.
• Provide timely, thorough and thoughtful job dialogues.
• Work collaboratively with Team Member Services on Team Member relations.
• Make separation decisions with guidance from Team Member Services and Facility Leadership.
• Communicate and maintain Team Member safety and security standards.
• Project annual productivity targets and labor expenses.
• Accurately track and document Team Member productivity.
• Establish and maintain collaborative and productive working relationships with the DC Procurement team, Global Procurement, Facility Leadership, Team Leaders and Team Members.
• Provide accurate, complete information in daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
• Model and cultivate effective intra-facility and inter-facility communication.
• Maintain positive and productive vendor relationships.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including OSHA, FMLA, ADA, Department of Labor, Health and Sanitation, FDA, Department of Agriculture, Weights and Measures.
• Schedule and attend all Team and Facility meetings.

Thorough product knowledge.

Ability to complete all tasks in a thorough, accurate and timely manner.

Working understanding of and compliance with all WFM quality goals, and thorough product knowledge.

Demonstrated responsibility and accountability in recognizing and accomplishing all tasks.

Attention to detail and thoroughness in approach with all paperwork.

Qualifications

Experience as a Produce Inspector (1 year).

Skills

Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (OSHA, FMLA, ADA, etc.).

Effective communication skills.

Operational proficiency with necessary equipment.

Customer service excellence.

Time management and organization skills.

Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Benefits

The wage range for this position is $77,175.00-$132,300.00 Annual, commensurate with experience.
