Produce Associate Full Time

Nino Salvaggio is currently hiring a Produce Associate for its new Livonia location.

Responsibilities

• Properly handle, stock, prepare and display all produce products.
• Greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous, and excellent service or assistance.
• Know the store layout to assist customers in locating products.
• Understand and know the quality standards, prices, varieties, preparation methods, etc., of the various products/food items in the department.
• Handle any damaged and/or spoiled product according to company and department guidelines and help control the level of damaged goods.
• Maintain a neat, well‑groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company grooming and dress standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred, but not required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Availability to work early mornings, nights, and weekends.
• Ability to work with all products/food products available within the department, including use of knives, box cutters, balers* (must be at least 18 years old to use balers).
• Ability to stand and/or walk for 8 or more hours.
• Ability to regularly bend, lift and/or move 25 pounds.
• Ability to frequently bend, lift and/or move 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, and grasp.
