Position Summary
Our members value quality and freshness in their produce purchases. As a produce team member, you play a crucial role in ensuring that members receive these qualities at low costs. Your responsibilities include making decisions about produce quality, ensuring availability, cleanliness, and freshness, and enhancing the shopping experience.
What you'll do...
- Be a Team Member:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources.
- Communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service.
- Work in other areas as needed, tracking goods, maintaining in-stock levels, and controlling shrinkage.
- Be an Expert:
- Understand the processes and specifications related to produce quality.
- Prepare products according to established standards.
- Maintain product safety and follow company sanitation guidelines.
- Adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality.
- Be a Techie:
- Leverage digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience.
- Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions.
- Adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
- Be an Owner:
- Drive the performance of the area.
- Use digital tools.
- Stock and rotate department products.
- Ensure quality and date control standards.
- Eliminate waste.
- Guide peers and provide attention to customer needs.
- Assist customers according to company policies and procedures.
- Be a Talent Ambassador:
- Advocate for the department and the club.
- Model high-quality service and products.
- Execute the basics at the highest possible level of quality.
