Position Summary

Our members value quality and fresh produce at low costs. As a produce team member, you play a crucial role in ensuring availability, cleanliness, and freshness of produce for our members. Your positive attitude and excellent customer service are key to enhancing the shopping experience.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources.
  • Communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service.
  • Work in other areas as needed, tracking goods, maintaining in-stock levels, and controlling shrinkage.
  • Understand the processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise.
  • Prepare (trim, crisp, package, scale) products according to established standards.
  • Maintain product safety and follow company sanitation guidelines.
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement.
  • Adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
  • Drive the performance of the area by utilizing digital tools.
  • Utilize perpetual inventory management techniques to stock and rotate department products.
  • Eliminate waste and guide peers.
  • Assist customers according to company policies and procedures.
  • Be an advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience in the produce area.
  • Model high-quality service and products.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources.
  • Identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations.
  • Carry out tasks, communicate progress and information.
  • Determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities.
  • Adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with produce and a passion for quality and freshness.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.50 to $26.50. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
